First thing’s first. Relax,
this is a relatively painless process.
Second, do not pull the measuring
tape too tight. Snug is good, tight is not.
Third, please, no fibbing on the
measurements.
Let’s get started. Begin
by wearing a non-padded bra and underwear. If you wear clothes,
they will change all of your measurements and the corset will
not fit properly. Tie a string or ribbon snugly around your natural
waist. This is usually above the belly button or where your waist
pulls in at your sides. The ribbon is the base that all the other
measurements will be taken from. It is important to make sure
that the measuring tape is horizontal when taking measurements
around the body. It should not rise up or dip down around the
body. Your corset will be made to the measurements you supply
us with. Marvelous Mayhem cannot be held responsible for incorrect
or inaccurate measurements. We suggest taking each measurement
three (3) times and taking the average. Having a friend help take
these measurements helps also. If Marvelous Mayhem finds measurements
that appear out of the ordinary, we will contact you for clarification
(it is best to take measurements in the morning or after sleep).
